The AN-ACC Policy Team, part of the Residential Care Funding Reform Branch is recruiting for a Data Analyst Officer. Your role will be to support the establishment and maintenance of the technical funding model. Produce value adding analysis of financial information and industry data to report on implementation of AN-ACC and inform policy decisions.

**Key duties**:
Under the guidance of the Assistant Director, the role of the Data Analyst Officer is to:

- Assist with oversight, development and maintenance of the technical funding model
- Produce value adding analysis of financial information and data to inform policy decisions
- Respond to requests with tight deadlines and clearly communicate any associated policy considerations or risks
- Assist with managing the workflow across the team
- Build, test, implement and manage financial and analytical models, using MS Excel
- Analyse and perform a range of statistical and mathematical techniques
- Support the delivery of ongoing Executive reporting, including designing, researching, analysing and presenting information in various formats.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Resilience and ability to adapt to changing priorities in an environment with a consistently high workload.
- Experience in financial modelling and working with SAS or other data analysis tools.
- Knowledge and understanding of data management, data sharing, data integration and data governance.
- Attention to detail and strong governance and record keeping skills.
- High level of experience with MS Excel and other related systems.
- Ability to show initiative, be proactive, innovative, and inclusive
- Ability to work flexibly across the Section to support urgent work as directed, commensurate to the classification level of the position
