**The company**
The Port of Hastings Development Authority (the Port) is responsible for managing the landside port operations at the Port of Hastings, including the maintenance and development of the associated port infrastructure. They are committed to the Port being a safe and vibrant deep-water port and ensuring its sustainable long-term development, recognising the Port is located within an area of international ecological significance.
The Port of Hastings is the preferred port to be used to support offshore wind power generation projects having been identified in the state government’s Navigating our Port Futures - Victorian Commercial Ports Strategy. The government is providing early investment in the redevelopment of the Port to support the establishment of the offshore wind sector.
**The role**
The Project Scheduler will work closely with the Project Director of the Victorian Clean Energy Terminal and Port of Hastings’ management team to lead the implementation and management of the project schedule across the Port’s construction related projects. The role will manage a comprehensive schedule control system, and they will develop work breakdown structures and cost break down structures which allow for continued project progress assessment and reporting.
In this role you will:
- Implement project planning & monitoring processes and systems, particularly focusing on time, cost, resources & quality.
- Coordinating project timelines with internal departments and external stakeholders.
- Measure and report program/project performance based on KPI's.
- Troubleshoot and monitor potential scheduling problems.
- Provide schedule progress and identify possible delays and cost overruns.
- Provide clear and precise dashboard reporting for Senior management and the Board.
- Facilitate and participate in weekly schedule reviews.
- Participate in regular project team meetings across multiple projects.
- Assist the project team to develop and maintain periodic status reports to keep management informed on progress.
**About you**
With demonstrated experience in a similar Planning/Scheduling role within the construction, infrastructure or marine industry, you will possess:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field such as project management, business, engineering or related is preferred
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Extensive level of knowledge in the use of project management scheduling tools, such as Microsoft Project or Primavera
- Demonstrated understanding of critical path methodology to ensure timely delivery of milestone tasks
- Ability to develop dashboards summarising the program progress
- Experience in developing and maintaining weekly and monthly progress reports.
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills and stakeholder management skills
