**Position Overview**
Reporting to the Manager Court Services, the Registry Services Team Leader / Listings and Events Co-ordinator has responsibility for the delivery of high quality registry services to clients, legal practitioners, judicial officers and registrars.
In addition, this role works in partnership with the Digital Practice Team and is responsible for the day-to-day management, allocation and functioning of courtrooms, hearings and the allocation and management of a small team of casual court officers.

**Key Responsibilities and Duties**

They will take ownership of, and responsibility for the role and liaise effectively with the Judiciary, Registrars and their staff in relation to courtroom requirements.
Registry & Listings and Events services include:

- managing a team of client services staff and casual court officers to ensure high quality registry to clients, legal practitioners, judicial officers and registrars;
- processing, filing and sorting documents, including quality assurance and archiving functions
- developing and maintaining positive, productive and collaborative relationships with the judiciary, the legal profession and community groups,
- prepare for and manage all aspects of courtroom allocation in the WA Registry, including preparation and publication of the daily list and distribution of video conferencing details;
- assisting chambers and court officers with the practical arrangements of digital litigation (online hearings, video-conferencing equipment and digital hearings /eTrials) such as conducting test calls, liaising with third party providers;
- oversight of in-court technology, including liaising with chambers staff, the onsite transcription service and other technology providers;
- communication and co-ordinating attendance of litigants with external agencies, including government agencies such as immigration detention centres;
- provide court officers with training and support for in-court processes, including opening and closing court, swearing in witnesses and videoconference process;
- corresponding with practitioners and legal support staff in relation to videoconference procedure, including related administrative process;
- provide assistance and coordination with Court events, including seminars, webinars and ceremonial/formal occasions
- providing information on appropriate avenues for addressing client needs, assisting to solve their problems, and recommending appropriate options, resources or services both internal and external to the Court;
- act as an escalation point for complex client services queries in Registry services; and
- managing change in a challenging and fast moving environment

**Selection Criteria**
- Demonstrated staff management, change management, leadership and development experience (preferably in a legal, courts or public service environment) and the ability to promote a team environment.
- Relationship management capacity, including an ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels, including judicial officers, as well as strong interpersonal skills, including a proven ability to manage stressful and/or conflict situations in a professional manner, on a continual basis.
- Demonstrated sound organisational skills, initiative, the ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
- Excellent problem solving skills particularly in relation to technology.
- Understanding of the public service operating environment
