About the Role
This is a customer focused role that provides registry and judicial support services to the Commission, the Industrial Magistrates Court of Western Australia and the Western Australian Industrial Appeal Court.
In this role you will provide information and support to a diverse range of clients, including assessing and processing applications and claims, and managing complex and sensitive cases through administrative oversight. The role primarily supports the Commission and is an escalation point for Registry Support Officers.
Additionally, there is scope to broaden your responsibilities across other jurisdictions, providing judicial assistance to the Industrial Magistrates and the Clerk of the Court. This may include performing court officer duties, liaising with involved parties, editing judgments, preparing orders, and conducting legal research.
It is a busy environment, but we collaborate and work positively together as a team to ensure we deliver a high-quality service.
Our Ideal Candidate
We are seeking someone who is enthusiastic, collaborative, shares our values and demonstrates a commitment to delivering responsive customer service. Your effective communication and interpersonal skills and high level of attention to detail will enable you to deliver services to a diverse range of people.
Equally important is that you have experience in interpreting and applying legislation, procedures and/or instructions, and have knowledge of court or tribunal practices and registry procedures.
You enjoy solving problems and your effective planning and organisation skills will ensure your success in this busy team environment.
We believe all our people are leaders irrespective of their role. We are committed to building the leadership capability of our people and to support this we have adopted Leadership Expectations. The leadership context for this position is Personal Leadership.
How to Apply
If you would like to join our supportive and committed team, please submit your curriculum vitae (CV) and cover letter of no more than 2 pages, addressing the following 3 criteria from the Job Description Form:
- Demonstrated experience in interpreting and applying legislation, procedures and instructions.
- Knowledge of, or experience in, court and/or tribunal practices and registry procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to provide a high level of customer service to a diverse range of people.
Your application should provide sufficient information for the Panel to make an assessment of your skills and experience relevant to this role. Please note that an assessment of the remaining selection criteria outlined in the JDF will occur throughout various stages in the selection process.
Working With Us
We offer a supportive, diverse, and innovative environment, with great benefits including, but not limited to:
- Great central CBD location.
- Generous leave provisions which include personal leave, an additional 3 public service holidays per year, purchased leave and parental/adoption leave.
