About this team
Based in the Distribution Center and reporting directly into Distribution & Logistics Manager, the Facilities Specialist will provide support facilities management, training, coaching and continuous development in this area. They will also coordinate work and maintenance schedules. In addition to supporting the facility, they will also engage in training, team building and personal development.

**A day in the life**:
As the Facilities Specialist you will be responsible for the efficient execution of emergency and non-emergency repairs and service calls, acting as a conduit between Distribution Centre and external vendors. In addition you will coordinate and execute minor capital projects and initiatives, within established budgets and timelines.
- Coordinate and execute maintenance work throughout the Australian DC
- Consult manufacturer's manuals, circuit diagrams and blueprints to determine tests and maintenance procedures for instruments used for measuring and controlling flow, level, pressure, temperature, and other variables in manufacturing and processing
- Inspect and test operation of instruments and systems to diagnose faults using pneumatic, electrical and electronic testing devices and precision measuring instruments
- Repair and adjust system components, such as sensors, transmitters and programmable logic controllers, or remove and replace defective parts
- Calibrate components and instruments according to manufacturers' specifications
- Install control and measurement instruments on existing and new distribution centre equipment and processes, such as drive motors, gearboxes, belts, screw conveyors and platforms
- Utilize the computerized maintenance management system to maintain inventory of equipment and schedule maintenance
- Conduct monthly maintenance and safety inspections, completing test and maintenance reports, responding immediately to emergency situations
- Conduct daily inspections and clean up of building perimeter
- Consult and advise appropriate partners on important communication

**Qualifications**:

- Strong ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and projects
- Open to giving and receiving feedback
- They know that there is always more to learn
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook and basic computer skills
- 2+ years of hands on experience in facilities maintenance, manufacturing, general mechanical trade or general contracting
- Skilled with power tools, ground maintenance equipment, electrical, masonry, plumbing, carpentry, paints, solvents, adhesives and able to operate small machinery
- Ability to lift up to 25kg frequently
- Ability to maintain a safe work environment
