**About the Role and the Team**:
At Better Health Network, we are looking for a passionate Lived Experience Worker to join our team as part of the Better Homes Better Health program. You’ll work closely with residents of the Horace Petty Estate, supporting them through their relocation journey and connecting them to health and wellbeing services. This role is part of a broader, collaborative team working with local community groups, service providers, and BHN staff. Join us and be part of a team dedicated to positive change and improving outcomes for people in need.

**Duties and responsibilities**:

- Use your lived experience of public or social housing to engage with residents and build trust.
- Facilitate one-on-one discussions, small groups, information sessions, and community events to support residents through relocation.
- Assess the health and wellbeing of residents, referring them to relevant services and supports.
- Collaborate with community leaders, local organizations, and BHN teams to enhance services for residents.
- Document and report on engagement activities, contributing to continuous service improvement.

**About You**:

- Lived experience of public housing, social housing, rooming houses, or homelessness.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Passion for improving public housing and responding to client feedback.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Working rights in Australia (e.g., citizenship, valid visa, or birth certificate).
