About Us

Adelaide Primary Health Network (Adelaide PHN) is a not-for-profit organisation funded by the Commonwealth. We are one of 31 Primary Health Networks established across Australia.

We commission primary health care services to meet the needs of people across the Adelaide region. We work closely with primary health care providers, including general practitioners (GPs) to integrate health services at the local level to create a better experience for people and encourage better use of health resources to improve health outcomes.

Primary health networks (PHNs) have been established with the key objectives of increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of primary health care services for individuals, particularly those at risk of poor health outcomes. They also aim to improve coordination of care to ensure people receive the right care in the right place at the right time.

**Description**:
The Role

This position is being offered on an initial 12-month fixed term contract, with the potential for extension. The position is offered as either full-time, or 0.8FTE part-time across a 4 or 5-day working week and will have the flexibility to work from home 1 day per week post induction and training.

Reporting to the Communications Coordinator, the Communications Officer will provide a broad range of hands-on communication support and advice, including but not limited to:

- Developing, writing and editing marketing and communications materials for internal and external stakeholders

Work with internal stakeholders to support the Adelaide PHN's external communications strategy, providing guidance and support to internal business units to implement best practice communications.
- Maintain brand identity by monitoring and supporting a consistent and professional standard across organisational language, style and branding (in line with Adelaide PHN’s Branding Guidelines)
- Copywrite and develop content for internal and external publications (including newsletters)

**Skills and Experiences**:
About you

**To be successful in this role you’ll need**:

- 2+ years prior experience in a communications or marketing role
- Exceptional writing skills and be able to compose engaging and accurate content
- To be a strong communicator who works well independently and with a team
- Superior time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator is an asset
- Understanding of communications, public relations and marketing best practices
- Ability to think strategically and identify ways to improve communication efforts
- To be resourceful and take initiative even when given mínimal direction
