An exciting and unique opportunity exists for a talented and passionate individual to join the Department of Government Services as HR Business Partner to provide practical advice and guidance to employees and managers across the business on a broad range of people related matters.
The responsibilities of the People and Culture Branch include providing HR advice and services to the Department of Premier and Cabinet and its portfolio agencies and the Department of Government Services, to create a high performing workplace that puts people first.
As the HR Business Partner, you will work in partnership with Senior HR Business Partners, build collaborative and positive working relationships with key stakeholders in managing key people issues and recommending practical, impactful and flexible solutions. Supporting the development and delivery of a range of key HR projects and initiatives to support departmental priorities and continuous improvement will also be an essential requirement of this role.
About you
- Strong HR business partnering experience, with the ability to assist stakeholders to resolve HR issues and assist in clarifying needs, expectations and outcomes
- Sound understanding of relevant legislation, policies and procedures and contemporary developments in human resources management, including the Fair Work Act 2009
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders at varying levels
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- Proven organisational and time management skills
