**Your Impact**

Reporting to the Group General Manager, Logistics & Planning this role will be accountable for developing and implementing the strategic direction for Inventory across the group in line with MTP. You will review, develop and lead sustainable, best in class inventory operations, improving governance capability to enable working capital improvements, whilst achieving customer availability targets. The position has overarching responsibility for National Inventory Stocks across 28 DC’s, returnable assets management and associated working CAPEX, coupled with development and execution of national surge and outside storage strategy.

**The opportunity**:
Other key responsibilities include:

- Lead development of bespoke strategic initiatives that shape the future direction of Inventory Management, providing leadership within Supply Chain and consulting within the relevant strategic and operational functions
- Ensure absolute alignment with Customer Supply Chain GM’s for ALB & CUB to ensure correct flow of information, so critical and timely decisions can be made to support top line growth
- Setting and implementing Inventory Compliance and Auditing metrics and ensure completion of site audits on their inventory controls and process compliance against inventory policies
- Accountability for team which manages Tram track adherence (DRP), availability of product, sub-opt moves and continuity planning
- Identify synergies and optimization opportunities across the inventory network and Develop visibility road map in conjunction with Group Digital to ensure integration with major customers as they invest in their supply chain capabilities
- Clearly communicate performance expectations, rewarding innovation and challenge of the status quo

**About You**

Your resume will clearly demonstrate significant experience in a role where you have held accountability for multi-site based inventory management and the development and implementation of methods to streamline and optimise operations.

In addition, you will possess:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications - Engineering / Supply Chain ideally with APICS
- Significant proven Supply Chain experience within a large FMCG environment
- Strong understanding of supply planning concepts, ideally with cross functional experience across manufacturing, inventory control, procurement, planning
- SAP/APO planning functionality is essential with proficiency in MS Office, particularly highly developed Excel skills
- Solid understanding of S&OP, coupled with strong project management skills
- Exceptional communication, influencing and interpersonal skills
