Battery Energy Storage System

**The Role**:
We have an excellent permanent opportunity for a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) coordinator to assist with activities that ensure the efficient operation of the BESS as a whole. The role will initially focus on the Hazelwood BESS which is under construction and commissioning.

The incumbent will be accountable to the Asset Manager and will be required to work on-site which is located at Latrobe Valley.

**Key Responsibilities**:
The BESS Coordinator will assist with activities in relation to the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) development of management systems and processes, implementation of Work, Health, Safety & Environment (WHS&E) management system, development of the asset management system, monitoring and review of O&M service providers activities, service reports, component failure root cause analysis reports and monitoring of Ausnet interface matters. Responsibilities includes:

- Assist in development of BESS Asset Management Plans and Business plans.
- Monitor performance of the O&M Contractor against the O&M contract obligations and work closely with O&M Service providers
- Develop, maintain and update processes, procedures, worksheets and drawings as

necessary; and ensure defined instructions and maintenance schedules
- Liaise with key stakeholders and other agencies in relation to plant operation, performance, maintenance and any other issues which may impact plant performance & availability.
- Monitor O&M’s service and maintenance reports ensuring service and maintenance are carried out as per the OEM’s recommendation.
- Monitor and ensure HBESS compliance with all of its regulatory obligations including GPS, ESCOSA, AusNet standards, agreements and protocols
