**The Purpose**:
As the Head of Risk Management, you will report to the GM Risk and deliver to the overall Risk strategy and framework here at AP+. The role will see you use your expert knowledge to challenge in order to mitigate risk exposure, ensuring AP+’s risk management framework complies with relevant legislation and regulation. You will also define and/or oversee the implementation of the risk solutions that help optimize the Risk function.

**In order to thrive in this role, you’ll be expected to have the following experience**:

- Relevant degree level or similar qualifications with hands on experience within financial services
- Leadership skills including the ability to manage risk and control activities in a financial operation, with an extensive understanding of Operational risks, including IT security and resiliency
- Significant experience in developing and maturing core risk management systems and processes
- Ability to operate in a multi-modal environment
- Strong product knowledge of Payments and the Payments ecosystem
- The ability to liaise closely with senior management and exercise oversight over governance, risk and control arrangements in a financial operation
- Proven leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a fair degree of autonomy and demonstrate initiative and a sense of personal accountability
- Self-starter with excellent initiative, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
