**Pricing and Policy Analysts**
We are looking to fill 3 roles within IPART’s Pricing and Policy division at the level of IPART Officer C or D.
- IPART Officer C roles available (ongoing) - Salary range $84,527 - $92,578 per annum; plus superannuation and annual leave loading
- IPART Officer D roles available (ongoing) - Salary range $99,017 - $107,068 per annum; plus superannuation and annual leave loading

**About us**
The Independent Pricing & Regulatory Tribunal (IPART) is the independent regulator for the water, public transport, local government, electricity and gas network industries and the Energy Savings Scheme in NSW. We set prices for essential services and investigate a wide range of interesting economic, policy and regulatory issues. We also perform other roles at the NSW Government’s request.
Our work usually includes consultation with the community, industry and government bodies. We are a NSW government agency, but we make decisions and provide advice that is independent of the government.
**About the role**
Pricing and policy analysts report to a principal analyst and work collaboratively in small teams to complete reviews and investigations into wide range of economic and policy issues.
Our analysts deliver high quality research and technical analysis to support the Tribunal’s decision making and recommendations to the NSW Government.
This role requires analysts to present their research or analysis in concise and accurate briefs for senior staff, the Tribunal or Ministers and reports or guidance material for the general public. Examples of work recently completed by the pricing and policy team include:
- Setting the prices for urban and rural water, wastewater and stormwater services in NSW
- Reviewing private ferry, rural and regional bus and opal fares in NSW
- Benchmarking solar feed-in tariff range and producing retailer and customer guidance
- Investigating competition, costs and prices in the funeral industry
- Reviewing competitive neutrality policies and processes in NSW

**About you**

- have qualifications in accounting, economics, engineering, environmental disciplines, finance, law, mathematics, science or other relevant qualifications or equivalent demonstrated professional experience
