**Administration Assistant**

**Royal Melbourne Hospital**
- Part of our Sub Acute Ambulatory Care Services.
- Based at Royal Melbourne Hospital, Royal Park Campus.
- Part Time Position, working 48hrs per fortnight - fixed term, 12 month Maternity Leave cover.

**Your new role**:
The Sub Acute Ambulatory Care Services (SACS) consists of Community Therapy Service, Clinical Centre Specialist Clinics, The Direct Access Unit and Post-Acute Care.

The role of the SACS Administration Assistant is to work within an administration team to provide professional and caring, customer-focussed administrative support for the clinical staff working within SACS. Under the direction and leadership of the relevant Senior Administrator and SACS Manager, this role will work in collaboration with the team to develop processes and systems to ensure efficiency of data is maintained.

This position is a key point of contact for patients and referring services and may be required to work in a busy reception area or back office, coordinate clinic bookings, collect and enter patient’s data and provide a broad-range of administrative support support to the SACS service.

You will:

- Provide administrative support working within the Sub Acute Ambulatory Care (SACS) services.
- Generate and input of data and reporting, telephone management, invoicing, reception and a broad range of administrative duties.
- Work as part of a dynamic team focused on providing a positive experience for our patients and their carers.
- Make significant contributions to the ongoing success of the SACS team.
- Develop processes and systems to ensure efficiency and accuracy is maintained.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and efficiency in data entry.
- Demonstrate high level communication skills with both co-workers and the general public, including telephone management.
- Work collaboratively within the SACS Admin team, as well as manage own specific tasks within the allocated time frame.

**About you**:
**Formal Qualification(s) and Required Registration(s)**:
Successful completion of VCE or demonstrable equivalent industry experience.

**Essential**:

- Well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated busy telephone environment experience.
- Ability to learn new IT systems.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of the management of confidentiality.
- Excellent administration skills including data entry and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise and manage conflicting work demands and work within time pressures.
- Skilled Microsoft Office suite of programs including excel, word, power point and outlook.
- Demonstrated collaborative interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated skills in conflict management and problem solving.
- Ability to work as part of a team and also take responsibility for own tasks.

**Desirable**:

- Understanding of and experience in health.
- Understanding of Community Services and Royal Melbourne Hospital.
