We are currently recruiting a Sales & Events, who under the direction and guidance of the Sales & Marketing Manager, to provide coordination and administration service for the hotel Sales & Events team or exceed revenue and profit targets.

To ensure your success from day one you will be provided with Crowne Plaza brand service training within 30 days of joining us. Crowne Plaza brand service training includes Orientation and Crowne Plaza Dare to Connect Experience training.

IHG orientation and service training. IHG orientation and service training includes Welcome to IHG, IHG One Rewards compliance training, True Hospitality Service Skills and IHG Problem Handling.

**Your day to day**

This position exists in order to provide coordination and administration service for the hotel Sales team in order t meet or exceed revenue and profit targets.

Drive Brand standards and value initiative: Do the right thing, show we care, Aim higher, Celebrate difference and Work better together.

Assist with arranging proposals, contracts and Event offers for MICE based on targeted strategic revenue requirements.

Event administration - assist with finalizing meeting and events finer details with collating information from the client and creating Events Orders.

Liaise with clients prior to, during and after all non-residential functions, take any reasonable steps necessary to ensure customer satisfaction, in conjunction with the Operations Team.

Prepare accurate and detailed diary events and functions so as to prevent double bookings and or overlapping, as well as maximizing function facility usage.

Ensure a thorough knowledge and adherence to department procedure.

Posting of Events charges for daily events and follow up of outstanding invoices and deposit payments. Ensure all credit and financial transactions are handled in a secure manner.

Systems - maintain, update and keep clean IT systems including Delphi.fdc, Sales drive, Opera, I-know, Concerto etc.

End of month tasks & ad hoc report generation - including MICE Conversion, AMG, MMR report figures, I-know and other requested reports & I=know allocation etc.

IHG Business Rewards Club advocate - you will drive loyalty by enrolling clients to become members.

Ensure CSDA requirements for Events and Sales are adhered to.

Monitor Crowne Plaza Perth digital presence in OPTS’s imagery and third party websites.

Type menus, collateral and actions plans required for certain events and on request department collateral and printing.

To be flexible as to working hours about business requirements.

Engagement and contribution in Sales department & RevGen meetings.

Fixing problems - you will be there to help resolve guest issues and ensure they leave having had an exceptional event.

Be a neighborhood host - know what’s happening in the neighborhood and hotel keeping up to date with events, groups and hotel information.

Be a responsible team player -comply with our WH&S, HACCP and crisis management polices and be a supporter for a greener hotel environment.

**What we need from you**

Previous experience in a Sales or Event coordinator related position is highly regarded.

Qualifications in Hotel Management and/or in Food & Beverage related field preferred.

Excellent communication skills.

A team play, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise your own workload as well as jump in and help your colleagues as needed.
