**About the Role**:
We are seeking a support worker for afternoon community access shifts in Moorooka (approximately 2 hours per shift on Monday or Thursday).

Due to the participant’s personal preference, a **female support worker** is requested for this role.

This position is ideal for someone familiar with Australian culture who can provide relaxed, respectful companionship and everyday support in home and community settings.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Build friendly, one-on-one rapport through conversation and support
- Assist with light errands, walking, or shopping in the local area
- Wear a mask and follow infection control guidelines
- Be comfortable around pets (the client has a dog)
- Promote independence in a calm and culturally respectful manner

**Participant Information**:
The participant is an independent individual who values support workers who are culturally aware and familiar with Australian social norms, such as clear communication, respect, and a positive attitude.

**Requirements**:

- Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- First Aid & CPR Certification
- COVID-19 Infection Control Training (preferred)
- Strong cultural awareness and understanding of Australian social values
- Australian work rights

**Job Details**:

- Job Type: Casual
- Location: Moorooka, QLD
- Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
- Expected Hours: 4 hours per week.
- Work Authorisation: Australia (required)
- Benefits: Paid induction, flexible shifts, travel reimbursement, penalty rates
