We have a new and exciting opportunity for a skilled and experienced Safety and Wellbeing Specialist for a national client of ours based in Perth CBD.

**Responsibilities**
- Provide specialist advice, support and make recommendations in line with current WH&S legislation, policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Review risk incident register, providing advice and implementing changes to controls within agreed authority.
- Role model and champion health, safety and wellness behaviours
- Influence and partner with key stakeholders to build WHS capability, progress our health and safety strategy and drive quality outcomes
- Provide proactive WHS insight and recommendations to improve policies and processes
- Monitor external sources and keep up to date with trends, best practice and changes to legislation in order to better inform recommended changes
- Mitigate risk through the promotion of injury prevention and management.
- Complete timely and accurate WHS reporting including reports required by the Executive and The Board
- Monitor WHS roles - Health and Safety Representatives, First Aid Officers and Emergency Wardens to ensure appropriate coverage and coordinate their training.
- Support managers and HRBPs in managing work health and safety issues including workers compensation claims
- Report to regulatory bodies as and when required.
- Provide advice regarding training and development programs in relation to safety management.
- Participate in WHS audits and/or specialist WHS support to other divisions conducting audits.
- Identify WHS operational training requirements and develop training and education material as required

**Other**
- Provide general support to the HR & Safety Team as and when required.
- Understand and comply with all Policies and Procedures as amended from time to time.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to clients values.
- To perform other tasks as reasonably requested within the individual's skills, competence, and ability.

**Knowledge and Skills**
- Comprehensive understanding of Work Health and Safety legislation and regulations
- Demonstrated ability to analyse and review safety data and present reports in a clear and simple manner.
- Ability to investigate accidents and incidents and make recommendations for preventative action.
- High level organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and autonomously.

**Experience**
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in similar role
- Conducting workplace risk assessments and inspections
- Developing relevant policies, procedures, and documents e.g. risk assessments

**Qualifications**
- Ideally a tertiary (from Cert IV level) qualification in Work Health & Safety
