**ABOUT THE COMPANY.**

Based in Northern Sydney, work for your Local Council as a WHS Officer. An amazing opportunity to take your first step into the Public Sector within an established team of WHS Officers. With a LGA population count of over 120,000, work for Council delivering on ongoing WHS matters and projects.

**ABOUT THE POSITION.**

Expression of Interest. An initial 6 month contract. Your main matter of attention is to provide quality and service across the areas of risk management, insurance and work health and safety.

**DUTIES.**
- All general WHS duties
- Reviewal of employee wellness programs
- Report to the WHS Committee
- Weekly updates on Public Health orders/safety requirements
- Register/report incidents and take corrective actions
- Develop internal safety protocols, standards, and action plans

**SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.**
- Previous experience as a WHS Officer
- Experience working in Local Council is NOT mandatory
- A high level of task prioritisation and time management skills
- High level of maturity and communication skills - able to deal with work stress with productivity
