Program Manager

**_An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Program Manager (ICT / Cyber Security) to join a well-established utilities provider and assist with their digital transformation projects for a 12 month contract._**
The impact of this position will cover the following:

- Manage high profile complex programs of work of significant value to the business
- Manage key risks in the negotiation and delivery of assigned programs / projects.
- Acts as the change agent ensuring the rationale for change is clearly understood at all levels of the organisation
- Recognition and measurement of identified business benefits

This position is accountable for providing technical thought leadership in driving the successful planning, organising, design of solutions and delivery of assigned programs and all interdependent projects against targeted outcomes that include but not restricted to, overall governance, the achievement of set out milestones and timeframes, required resourcing, financial performance including cost, budgets and benefits, and stakeholder expirations.

This position will be required to provide technical thought leadership, through business strategic alignment and comprehensive technical capability, to relevant program resources (dotted line reporting) in order to successfully drive and deliver; program and initiative related issues, milestones, cross-initiative interdependencies, data quality, portfolio planning and to comply with and enforce appropriate program governance to achieve strategic business outcomes

**Key Accountabilities of the position include but are not limited to**:

- Accountable for providing technical thought leadership in driving the successful planning, organising, design of solutions and delivery of assigned programs and all interdependent projects
- Accountable for planning for program success through the delivery of the overall program and or related projects activities in accordance with business requirements and the strategic goals of the organization
- Manage the assigned program and associated projects with the mandate and accountability to ensure outcomes are achieved in a timely manner; cross function and initiative interdependencies, risks, issues and assumptions are identified, monitored and actively managed
- Technically lead, coordinate and manage the assigned program and or related projects through to conclusion on time, within budget and in line with quality standards and stakeholder expectations
- Act as the “go-to” and definitive thought and technical leader in their industry or field of expertise in providing significant guidance, advice, and counsel to support the resolution of complex issues
- Develop and implement long-term goals and objectives to achieve the successful outcome of the assigned program and associated projects aligned to strategic business imperatives
- Develop strategic objectives and program scope, establish program resourcing as required and governance structures, and establish budget and resources and program manage from inception to approval.
- Ensure that program activities operate in line with internal policies, frameworks and procedures
- Ensure that program activities comply with all relevant legislation and professional standards
- Determine business information requirements and manage internal relationships to provide the necessary project support.
- Ensure that the program operate within the approved budget while taking appropriate mitigating or corrective actions where required
- Monitor and control all budgeted program expenditures in line with set out constraints
- Successful risk management against regulatory, commercial, reputational, legal and safety risks.
- Report evaluation findings to program sponsor / senior leadership and recommend changes to enhance the program, as appropriate

**Work Experience/Knowledge**:

- A seasoned professional with broad and or deep range of knowledge and expertise gained through comprehensive experience i.e. 10+ years in senior programme/project management roles, preferably within an area relevant to the activities of the Function
- Significant experienced in managing large scale complex programs of concurrent projects with multiple workstream’s.
- Proven successful program delivery outcomes within tight timeframes within a complex environment
- Strong negotiation and relationship skills and the ability to communicate at all levels of the organisation including C Suite
- Strong knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling programs
- Experience delivering large and complex programs of work within OT environments.
