**About the role**

The Contamination and Litter Engagement Officer is responsible for supporting the implementation of Council's domestic waste service with a focus on supporting the Waste & Cleansing team in the introduction and transition to a Food Organics Garden Organics (FOGO) service.

**This opportunity is a term contract position working till December 2026.**

**Early starts available, start and finish times will be discussed with the preferred applicant.**

On a daily basis you will:

- Support the implementation of Council’s garbage, recycling and food organics garden organics (FOGO) service to ensure the services are utilised correctly.
- Participate in the implementation of project, strategies, policies and guidelines and procedures that align with Council’s waste and cleansing strategic directions.
- Maintenance and supporting of contamination and litter communications and marketing plan, including hosting forums, events, and face to face engagement.
- Assist in the implementation of FOGO service in high density unit developments.

**About You**

**Experience**:

- Project and resource management experience, including demonstrated ability to deliver related projects within set budgets and timeframes.
- The confidence and demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with internal and external partners and/or stakeholders.
- The confidence and ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Ability to prioritise work and to meet agreed deadlines.

**Skills**:

- Current NSW drivers’ licence (Class C)
- Ability to prepare and manage engagement material across social media platform.
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service and experience in communication with difficult clients in person and by telephone.
- Demonstrated ability to develop written action plans with clearly defined objectives that respond to identified needs both current and future.
- Demonstrated experience in oral and written communication skills.
- Strong computer literacy

**What’s on offer**:
We are offering an attractive total remuneration from $73,354.81 to $80,782.59 plus 11% Superannuation.
