ROLE PURPOSE
The purpose of this role is to effectively manage the day-to-date operations of the Retirement Village and ensure an outstanding experience and quality service is provided to our residents. The role is responsible for ensuring all organizational and regulatory requirements are met and liaising with colleagues across all Baptcare streams including Sales, Finance, Property, Legal, PC&S, RAC and IHC.
**Key Responsibilities**:
Build and manage relationships with residents, families, staff, and other stakeholders at The Orchards Community, other Baptcare sites and prospective residents.
Manage any conflicts or disputes once raised within the scope of the RVA and the resident agreement to a timely resolution.
Maintain and implement comprehensive knowledge of Retirement living standards and compliance requirements. Meet requirements of the Retirement Living Code of Conduct and Accreditation scheme.
Manage all facets of the budget and report budget variances.
Oversee required maintenance to reduce risk, increase satisfaction and ensure the buildings are fit for purpose.
Work closely with Facilities team to progress and oversee refurbishment of vacant villas/ apartments to ensure a quality finish, enabling maximum sale price whilst remaining within budget.
Set up and oversee café operation in conjunction with Baptcare Catering/Hospitality Manager.
Key Selection Criteria
Possess more than 5 years’ experience in the retirement / hospitality industry in a senior management role.
Experience successfully leading teams, as well as fostering a harmonious and positive environment for staff, residents, and visitors.
Be experienced in working in an environment where significant person to person interaction and people management skills have been developed.
Proven ability to build and deliver on strategic plans and manage financial budgets.

Management related courses
Relevant tertiary qualification in an appropriate discipline is desirable.
Desirable
Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline is desirable RL Professional memberships.

Detailed understanding of the Retirement Village Act so that all legislative requirements are met.
