How will your ideas contribute to shaping what’s next?

As our new 3D Civil & Electrical BIM Drafter / Modeller, who will play a vital role in our Aviation team located in Melbourne, Australia. Due to consistent growth in our Aviation team, we are looking for a mid-level drafter/modeller to join our digital team, where you will work largely on major aviation projects.

While your core role will involve drafting, designing and modelling, you’ll be provided with the opportunity to develop your career further in areas such as digital design coordination and information management.

Your role will include:

- Successfully manage, plan, design, resource and complete assigned 2D/3D BIM Civil projects.
- Assist senior technical civil project leaders and designers, project managers, engineers, as well as engaging with our offshore drafting resources required to complete projects.
- Ensure the accuracy of project documents, and that they comply with industry best practice, and quality standards relevant to Aurecon, and in most cases different/specific to each unique project based on statutory regulations.
- Resolve complex technical design and modelling issues.
- Clash detection between a large array of different disciplines relevant to each project.

As well as relevant Professional Services background you will be able to bring the following skills and experience:

- Demonstrated drafting/modelling experience within the Aviation Civil Engineering industry.
- Your software experience will include: Autodesk AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D.

Added benefit experienced in:
Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Navisworks, Autodesk Infraworks, Autodesk Dynamo, Python and C# scripting capabilities.
