We are looking for a motivated **Casual Kitchen Attendant** to join the PLG team at **Highways **in **Springvale**. You'll support the team to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently. If you're looking to start your career in the kitchen, behind the scenes. No better place to start

Highways is located in the hub of suburban south-east Melbourne on the perimeter of Ladbrokes Park (Sandown Racecourse). Featuring a family friendly bistro with a designated kids play area, great service and a relaxed atmosphere making it the perfect dining experiences for all to enjoy. Along with an extensive modern menu with daily specials, Highways caters to both children and adults alike.

**What will my duties include?**
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks and ensure ingredients are organised and ready.
- Provide support to chefs and kitchen staff, contributing to a seamless kitchen operation.
- Monitor supplies in accordance with food volume and menu requirements.
- Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the workstation.

**What we are looking for**:

- Food Handlers Certificate.
- Knowledge of basic food preparation methods.
- Experience working in a pub/bistro fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Willingness to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
