**Opportunity with CMW Geosciences in Victoria**

As a result of strategic growth plans, we are looking for an experienced General Manager to lead our Victorian teams in reaching their potential. You will have a solid and in-depth understanding of the Victorian market, as well as great leadership skills.

Duties will include:

- Managing a team across our three Victorian locations (Melbourne, Sunshine & Bendigo)
- Working openly to promote collaboration and effective communication, leading by example.
- Managing client communications and those from external stakeholders
- Demonstrating the drive and confidence to tackle difficult situations head-on, with tact and fortitude.
- Leading and displaying critical thinking, sound decision making, personal accountability, resilience, empathy, and integrity, whilst underpinning team spirit
- Working with Team Leaders and functional teams to source, recruit and retain motivated technical staff, in addition to supporting the Office Managers with sourcing, recruitment, and retention of staff.
- Actively promoting and encouraging safety in design thinking and procedures. Monitoring safe practices and maintaining workplace health and safety as a company core value
- Analysing financial data and market trends to support strategic decisions that drive growth and improve financial performance.
- Collaborating with the Business Development team to develop revenue forecasts and growth strategies.
- Carrying out commercial reviews and other duties as required.

**To be considered, we are looking for the following**:

- Qualified Civil Engineer or equivalent with 10+ years of experience in a similar role, working in an engineering consultancy.
- Proven record in successfully developing, leading and growing team(s) across a specific territory.
- A solid understanding of the Victorian market and a track record in winning work.
- Strong business acumen and experience in managing P&L responsibilities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong organisation skills with high attention to detail is a must.
- Be available to travel as across Victoria or other regions, as required.
