The roleAs a commercialised business unit within the Department of Energy and Public Works, QFleet is the Queensland Government's centralised fleet owner and manager responsible for whole-of-government fleet management and advisory services. These services include vehicle procurement and contract management, fleet advisory services to public sector departments, as well as government-funded organisations, in-service maintenance, accident management, end-of-life repairs and vehicle remarketing.QFleet is committed to client service excellence by focusing on delivering an integrated package of flexible fleet management services and value-adding solutions reflecting Queensland Government policy and supporting the delivery of government services and programs to the community.Reporting to the Director, Procurement and Business Services, you will be responsible for the management of the Procurement and Contract Management Branch, who establish and manage whole-of-government fleet related supply arrangements ensuring the government is achieving greater value for money from procurement spend.Key responsibilities: - Provide procurement advice to senior management and stakeholders to ensure the delivery of best practice procurement and contract management processes. Participate in the development, implementation and measurement of QFleet's procurement strategies and plans for major sourcing activities. - Provide high level management, analysis and advice by: ‒ developing and maintaining a detailed understanding of QFleet's current spend profile and future strategic initiatives. ‒ engage with suppliers, industry representatives and key stakeholders to understand trends for future demand for QFleet products or services, supply market innovations, market competition, structure, and cost drivers.

‒ working with agencies on Whole-of-Government procurement initiatives. Represent QFleet at industry and stakeholder procurement related events and forums. - Undertake procurement planning, market demand and cost analysis, risk management, sourcing activities, supplier and category performance management and reporting. Chair QFleet Product Risk Committee meeting responsible for the formulation, implementation, and review of the residual values for QFleet fleet vehicles. - Manage the budget and staff resourcing of the branch to ensure the skills and capabilities meet the procurement needs of QFleet. - Develop innovative and agile procurement solutions in a dynamic and changing environment.This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Australia License.
