The Medical Assessment Tribunals consist of over 200 appointed medical specialists sitting regularly on tribunals and making medical decisions about workers' injuries within the Queensland workers' compensation scheme. Tribunal Services supports tribunal members and the running of tribunals by undertaking all necessary administration functions.
As Tribunal Officer you will be responsible for supporting tribunal hearings across a range of specialty types, as well as working collaboratively to provide seamless support to the Medical Assessment Tribunal.

**About the role**:
Management of administration activities from beginning to end including but not limited to:

- Scheduling and confirming tribunals with respective stakeholders in a timely manner
- Maintaining tribunal rooms prior to and after tribunal appointment in accordance with the respective requirements
- Prepare, type and present tribunal findings in a timely manner
- Prepare and maintain an electronic file that contains the referral material using a PDF system - Accurately record and maintain tribunal files in the e-file management system (HPRM) and QI - Following the tribunal, send findings to respective stakeholders - Liaise with workers, representatives, Insurers and tribunal members in relation to the tribunal process specifically in relation to what they can expect on the day of a tribunal
- Primarily be responsible for providing first aid support and chaperone of workers during medical examinations as required - Provide support to tribunal members throughout the tribunal process, by ensuring they have all the information required for them to fulfil their role and provide assistance with the technology required to receive referrals and support virtual hearings
- Manage the Medical Assessment Tribunal reception area with confidence, courtesy and present a professional image to all visitors - Provide exceptional customer service to all internal and external stakeholders by aiming to make the tribunal process as efficient and effective as possible, always treating people with respect
- Provide support and assistance to other members of the Tribunal Services team where required

**As required this role may also be responsible for**:

- Ensuring all costs associated with tribunal activities, including payments to doctors are correctly coded and authorised for payment (financial processing invoices etc) - Provide training to new and existing staff on Tribunal Services policies, procedures and systems
- Booking flights, car parking, and organising tribunals in regional areas
