**The Role**
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the business support control centre of the Human and Decisions Sciences Division (HADS) team. In this role you will provide high level support and timely advice to the Chief of the Division, including:
- quality control of incoming and outgoing communications;
- writing decision briefs, including briefs for the Office of the Chief Defence Scientist;
- assisting with the preparation of Freedom of Information requests; and
- reach back into the HADS Research Leaders to gather, collate and present information required for the Chief to respond to queries.
Another key element of the role is maintaining a strong relationship with the Office of the Chief Defence Scientist to ensure there is correlation between their needs and the information HADS are providing to their request.
You will provide support and guidance to the team ensuring they have the knowledge, training and tools to be successful in their roles and deliver high quality outcomes for the division. You will monitor team and individuals and respond with appropriate actions to ensure that targets and outcomes are met.
