
Patient Transport Officers

**Responsibilities for CTO include but not limited to**:
- Provision of ambulant or wheelchair patients to and from their residence to medical appointments;
- Delivery of high quality patient care in a timely, safe and efficient manner;
- Complying with clinical and operational policies and procedures as specified in NPT’s policies and procedures;
- Excellent customer service;
- Safe driving of patient transport vehicles in accordance with respective road laws across WA.
**Responsibilities for PTO include but not limited to**:
- Provide compassionate care for our patients for stretcher transport.
- Deliver high-quality, timely, and safe patient care.
- Adhere to clinical and operational policies and procedures in line with patient transport regulations and protocols.
- Offer exceptional customer service.
- Drive patient transport vehicles safely, in compliance with Western Australia road laws.
Our officers play a crucial role in the healthcare system, ensuring the safe and efficient transport of patients who require low to medium medical care. As a Community Patient Transport officer, Patient Transport Officers, you will be responsible for providing compassionate support and high-quality service to patients during their non-emergency journeys.
**Qualifications, know**ledge & Experience Requirements**:
- HLTAID011 Provide First Aid for CTO as a minimum
- CERT III in NEPT and Cert IV in Health Care as a minimum for PTO
- Recent healthcare or aged care experience is highly regarded.
- Current National Police Check and Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain prior to commencement)
- Current unrestricted driver’s license
- Ability to work professionally as part of a team, providing high standards of patient care with effective communication and interpersonal skills.
