**Your role**

We are currently seeking a driven and detail-orientated Technical Project Officer to join our Major Digital and ICT Programs team within the Information and Digital Services division.

As the Technical Project Officer, you will be responsible for providing project management and technical support services, to ensure projects are completed on time, on budget, to quality standards, and within agreed scope.

**What you’ll do**
- Support the planning and delivery of various projects, including assisting/supporting the project manager with PMO, SAP & MyWorkZone enquires and transactions.
- Assist with procurement and tender evaluations, including minute-taking, preparation of assessment score sheets and contributing to the completion of tender evaluation reports.
- Coordinate all logistics associated with network hardware purchasing and delivery and tracking of goods, between the suppliers, delivery vendors and internal teams.
- Attend DCJ sites for the receiving of bulk hardware deliveries and physically carryout the unpacking, sorting, repacking and dispatching of hardware to vendor and DCJ sites.
- Installation and removal of network switches, VoIP handsets and other communication cabinet equipment.
- Establish and maintain key relationships with end-users, technical staff and stakeholders to understand and their requirements, and assist in identifying and resolving issues.
- Attend Wi-Fi enabled buildings to review WAP placements and execute Wi-Fi coverage testing to identify gaps and report the findings to the project manager.
- Perform onsite quality inspection reviews of new and existing cable installations, patchwork and hardware installations at identified DCJ sites.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of change management documentation and approvals with DCJ technical teams and other affected business units.
- Manage, troubleshoot and work with technical teams to resolve end user Wi-Fi network enquires and escalate complex issues as required.

**What we’re looking for**
- Tertiary or industry qualifications in a technical role and/or experience in supporting project development and delivery within a complex project environment.
- Excellent influencing and negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities within tight timeframes
- Experience with ITIL, CISCO hardware, and infrastructure deployment is highly regarded

A valid NSW Driver’s licence and willingness to travel is an essential requirement of the role.
