We are seeking a
Technical Project Manager
to lead the design and delivery of a new platform focused on material hazards. This is a pivotal role requiring a unique blend of design thinking, technical leadership, and stakeholder coordination across IT and business domains.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end design and delivery of a new material hazards platform.
  • Partner with enterprise architects, IT functions, and business stakeholders to agree on the technical solution.
  • Drive platform architecture discussions, ensuring consensus on design direction and alignment with organisational priorities.
  • Manage scope, timelines, and delivery milestones across cross-functional teams.
  • Facilitate working group sessions to confirm requirements and readiness for development.
  • Collaborate closely with the Business Analyst to capture functional requirements and ensure compliance is built into the platform.
  • Develop and manage project business cases and management plans, engaging stakeholders to identify, assess, and mitigate risks.
  • Establish monitoring and reporting mechanisms, providing evidence-based insights to senior leadership.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews and quality assurance activities, capturing lessons learned and driving continuous improvement.
  • Provide comprehensive reporting against KPIs, highlighting progress, risks, and issues requiring escalation.
  • Lead project teams in refining methodologies and delivery practices to align with departmental standards and best practices.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience as an ICT Project Manager in a large, complex IT environment.
  • Strong technical background with exposure to system architecture, platform design, or design thinking methodologies.
  • Minimum of 5–10 years of experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Proven ability to apply structured project management methodologies (PRINCE2, PMBOK, Agile frameworks).
  • Experience in compliance-driven or regulated environments is highly desirable.
  • Exposure to cloud transformation, data platform modernisation, or cybersecurity initiatives.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar PM tools.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence across IT and business domains.
