Basketball SA is the peak Association body responsible for the development, administration and promotion of basketball in South Australia. It aims to provide outstanding services to its members and enrich the broader community through the sport.

Reporting to the Basketball SA Commission (Board), this exciting position combines both strategic and operational activities and is intended to oversee the development and sustainability of basketball programs and competitions in South Australia. Key responsibilities include:

- overseeing the ongoing operations and administration of the organisation to ensure best utilisation of resources;
- proactively developing and enhancing relationships with a range of key stakeholders including Basketball Australia, members, government entities, peak bodies, corporate sponsors and partners, community groups and the media;
- developing the Strategic Plan and overseeing all financial operations, including annual budgeting, asset management, capital expenditure and cash flow reporting;
- positioning Basketball SA for growth through exploring business development, marketing and communications strategies;
- overseeing stadium operations and working closely with the stadium teams to drive sustainability and promote a strong service delivery culture;
- leading, motivating and developing the dedicated team.

The successful applicant will have strong commercial acumen and strategic planning capabilities, complemented by superior communication, negotiation and stakeholder management. Equally important will be the necessary drive and enthusiasm to set the direction for Basketball SA as it shapes to flourish in a changing environment. Drive, energy, authenticity, professionalism and customer focus are also non-negotiable requirements. A background in sports or venue administration may be well regarded but not essential.
