**The Role**

**Duties and Responsibilities**
Responsibilities of the APS Level 6 may include:

- being involved in a range of policy projects that will enhance the operation of the FEG scheme and FEG Recovery program
- working collaboratively with other government departments and agencies (such as the Department of the Treasury and Australian Taxation Office) to develop policy responses and fine-tuned solutions to issues which could impact the FEG scheme
- coordinating and preparing Annual report updates and general FEG Question Time Brief updates
- managing cross divisional responses to freedom of information requests
- coordinating Senate Estimates, assisting in estimates preparation, including drafting briefings, responses to questions on notice, Hansard corrections and clarifications
- monitoring media and horizon scanning activities
- responding to ad hoc tasks and input for the branches, for example drafting content for external articles, internal documentation and input to broader departmental processes.

**Qualifications and Education**
Relevant tertiary qualifications in law or a related field are highly desirable but not essential to this role.
