This NSW Government agency is a major service provider who strives to deliver a more consistent and efficient experience within government. We are looking for someone to start ASAP for a 8 month contract paying up to $414.29/day + Super. This role is located in Sydney CBD/ WFH

**About the Role**
We are currently seeking to appoint a Media Officer with a leading NSW Government agency to provide proactive and reactive media and public relations management, involving traditional and social media channels

Key accountabilities include:

- Research and prepare content for the issuing of media statements, releases and commentary under direction of the Manager and approval of the Executive.
- Monitor state-wide media, prepare material for public engagements and respond to media issues and inquiries out of hours.
- Support the organisation in providing strategic communication and media advice.
- Coordinate event management and preparation for public appearances and writing of material for public speaking by senior management, to ensure event objectives are achieved.
- Provide regular insights into social media content and platform performance using analytics tools.

**About You**
- Excellent Communication skills
- Background in government communications, media, PR or similar.
- Provide effective, timely and accurate advice and assistance to ensure alignment of all public affairs and media matters, requiring management.
