**Position Information**:

Mount Brown Public School has a population of 385 students and 25 teaching staff, approximately 7% of these students are have a language background other than English,, and 12% are Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. We aim to promote involvement through consultative decision making, Quality Teaching Rounds and across school collaboration. Mount Brown Public School has an excellent reputation based on a vibrant learning environment. Staff are enthusiastic, committed and caring. Our staff provide a wide choice of educational, social, cultural and sporting activities. Teachers are focused on developing a culture where innovative, evidence-based practices cater for the individual needs of our students.
The school has strong relationships with an active P&C consisting of parents, caregivers and the wider community. Together we promote student responsibility, respect, and safety.
**Selection Criteria**:
Approval to teach infants and primary (K-6), with a demonstrated ability to provide high-quality literacy and numeracy programs using evidence-based pedagogies and quality assessment practices to personalise learning and cater for the diverse needs of all students.
Understanding of a trauma-informed approach to behaviour and learning with a proven ability to develop creative and positive classroom learning environments that enhance student wellbeing, engagement and learning outcomes**.**
Knowledge and demonstrated commitment to the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and awareness and understanding of the needs of Aboriginal students and communities.
Capacity and willingness to support whole school programs and extra-curricular activities, including but not limited to ICT and robotics, drama, dance, sport and music to strengthen school culture and sense of community.
Highly developed interpersonal and organisational skills, with proven ability to work as part of collaborative teams and build positive relationships with all members of the school community.
