An opportunity exists for a high achieving, self-motivated and results driven experienced professional to lead and manage our project engineering functions throughout all of Australia and New Zealand (ANZ).
Reporting to the Manufacturing Director, this role is integral in partnering with the Site Leads to maintain operational excellence by providing apt design and implementation of engineering enhancements. This position provides proactive leadership to facilitate a culture of continuous improvement to the regional engineering group and is vital in developing our regional engineers in maintaining a uniform engineering project management system across all ANZ plants.
Job Responsibilities
Provide engineering expertise to all manufacturing sites within the ANZ region
Provide essential engineering services to the ANZ manufacturing sites through modification to plant equipment and processes to meet changed/additional production needs in the field of safety, manufacturing, process development, quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
Certify and improve regulatory compliance regarding process safety, work health and Safety-MHF legislation and Quality systems.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations in addition to identifying and implementing environmental protection opportunities through operation-wide engineering improvements/alteration.
Providing thorough analysis of site productivity to maximize efficiency and minimize costs
Responsible for engineering and capital costs control of projects
Assist Site Leaders in the preparation of CAPEX budgets and site development programs
Ensure all project work is based on sound design and completed to agreed budgets and time constraints
Provide best practice benchmarking in engineering practices and projects
Work in conjunction with other Hexion functions both locally and globally to identify risk reduction projects
Minimum Qualifications
Degree qualified in Engineering together with 15+ years of Chemical Industry Engineering experience with at least 3+ years’ experience in senior/principle project management roles across multiple engineering disciplines.
Exceptional leadership and people management skills
Minimum CAPEX experience range of $1MM to $20MM AUD required
Strong reporting and project presentation skills are essential
Good understanding of fundamental CAPEX decision financial tolls and principals is essential
Must possess good communication and interpersonal skills and be capable of promoting the concepts of teamwork; and
Expertise in technical and problem-solving abilities
SAP user skills and proficient with MS Office Suite
Travel Requirements 30% Domestic Travel 30% International Travel Other
If currently an employee of the Company, you must have current satisfactory work performance and in most cases, have been in your current role for 18 months.
