**Our Client**
As part of a global network, our client is a leading provider of transport and logistics solutions, employing over 4,000 staff Australia wide. With growth expected to continually accelerate in regional areas, they are currently seeking an experienced General Manager to manage the Safety, Quality & Environment obligations.
**General Manager - Hunter Region**
Reporting to the CEO, this leadership position will support and drive the National SQE strategy, track progress against strategy and propose refinements as required. As an experienced leader of diverse teams, you will be responsible for safety compliance and risk as well as maintaining oversight of audits and investigations.
The General Manager position is required to think strategically and demonstrate WHS due diligence leadership through understanding the operations hazards and risks associated within the business. The role will also implement processes and procedures to improve operations and ensure ongoing regulatory compliance. A focus on continuous improvement with the ability to report regularly on performance and develop positive working relationships at all levels is critical.
**About You**
You will be a strong people leader with experience in safety, quality and environment and will have experience working in the transport industry, together with tertiary qualifications in safety management or equivalent. Your experience includes having a solid understanding of legal health and safety legislation.
Critical to your success will be leading by example with a customer focused mindset, driving accountability in others and building effective teams.
