The Team Leader - WHS and Risk Management, presents a great opportunity for a leader or emerging leader with unique skills, to lead a team of Business Partner(s) and/ Advisor(s), and develop systems to support a safe workplace, manage WHS legislative compliance and identify and manage risks at operational and strategic levels. The role also provides a chance to participate in exciting improvement projects and to lead the continuing growth of a safety-first culture across our organisation.

**What you will do**

Offering a high level of autonomy in leading the WHS & Risk Management functions and a team, this role will:

- Provide expertise, support and advice to Senior Managers.
- Lead and mentor a team to provide support and advice across the business on matters of WHS, risk management and business continuity, using a practical and consultative approach.
- Lead the development and implementation of WHS, risk management and business continuity frameworks, policies and procedures and reporting measures.
- Implement risk management practices, risk registers and review the Risk Management Framework in line with the ISO 31000 Risk Management Standards.
- Develop training to build leader capacity in WHS and Risk Management, and to ensure leaders proactively manage WHS and risk.

**What you need for Success**
- Experience leading and supporting WHS, risk management and/ or business continuity functions, including managing teams and implementing systems and frameworks.
- Effective communication skills, with ability to build collaborative relationships with others.
- Able to draft concise and effective business documents, proposals, and reports.
- Can independently lead a team, make effective decisions, and is highly organised.
- Project management skills and an ability to effectively plan and delegate work.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation.
- Sound understanding of the Disability Sector and NDIS requirements.
- Relevant tertiary qualification and/or completion of accredited training in WHS or Risk Management.

**Desirable**:

- An understanding of Self Insurance Performance Standards/AS 4801.
- Qualifications or completion of accredited training in project management, lead investigator/investigations management.

**Other**:

- NDIS Workers Screening and Working with Children’s Check.
- Current unrestricted South Australian Driver’s Licence.
