Altona North, Australia Autocycle International Full time

**Autocycle International is seeking** aself-motivated and experienced Mechanical Fitter to join the team at our brand-new recycling facility located in Altona North. This hands-on role will be on a afternoon shift full-time basis, reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor.

**Duties & responsibilities**:

- Operating fixed & mobile plant and equipment such as tyre shredders or granulators, forklifts, skid steer loaders, etc.
- Perform maintenance tasks including greasing, blade changes, inspections, etc.
- Assessing and prioritising breakdown service requirements
- Accurate and timely completion of paperwork & upkeep of equipment maintenance logs
- Work closely with Maintenance Planner & Team Leaders on strategy development, ensuring optimal plans are executed
- Assist the production processes to ensure that trade released product meets quality specifications
- Ensuring Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) policies and procedures are followed.
- Driving continuous improvement in our onsite processes

**Qualifications & experience**:

- Mechanical Technician/ Fitter & Turner or similar trade qualification
- Experience in a similar position with relevant tickets
- MIG & ARC welding and fabrication experience
- Experience operating a skid steer loader
- EWP licence and experience
- Ability to interpret technical documents (engineering drawings, operation manuals)
- Solid understanding of mechanical processes
- Current High Risk Work Licence (preference for WP, DG, LF)
- Keen attention to accuracy & detail
- Driver’s licence
- Australian working rights
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen

**Salary**: $57.50 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Afternoon shift
- Monday to Friday
