**CFO | 3-6 month contract**

On offer, for an immediate start is this Chief Financial Officer contract role working with a national disability service provider. They pride themselves on being passionate about continually improving their service offerings and driving innovation to provide maximum opportunity for those lives who are living with disability.

The role will report directly to the CEO and have a small team of finance professionals reporting to them. The role will be central to providing strategic advice and guidance to the Chief Executive Officer and the Executive Management Team. Experience and a desire to work on system implementations and upgrades would be ideal.

**Role overview**

As part of an executive management team, the CFO will work across the organisation in the following areas:

- Provide leadership, direction and management of the Finance division which includes Finance, Assets and Payroll.
- Work with a project management team to implement a new suite of Microsoft products including Wise, Power BI and Dynamics
- Develop, present, and implement strategic recommendations to the CEO, Board, and members of the executive and senior management teams.
- Manage the processes for financial forecasting and budgets and oversee the preparation of all financial reporting.
- Advise on long-term business and financial planning including leading the financial risk management function.
- Ensure the organisation meets its regulatory and compliance obligations that the CFO is responsible for.
- Establish and develop relations with senior management and external partners and stakeholders.
- Reviewing and updating on a regular basis all formal Finance, Payroll and Assets related policies and procedures.

**Essential and Desirable Criteria**:
The successful CFO will be a seasoned and mature minded leader with at least 7-10 years of broad finance experience in gathering, evaluating, and disseminating financial information and making actionable recommendations to senior leadership. You will ideally have experience managing finance (accounting, budgeting, control, and reporting) within the NFP or disability sector.

The CFO will have the following qualifications, experience, and attributes:

- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or equivalent experience.
- CPA/CA qualifications
- Mature and proactive, with evidence of having worked as a true business partner to the chief executive of a similar sized NFP organisation.
- A hands-on manager with integrity and a desire to work in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.
- Skill in examining, developing, reengineering, and recommending financial, HR, and technology policies and procedures.
