Port Adelaide, Australia City of Port Adelaide Enfield Full time

**This is a part time (0.6 FTE / 3 days per week) contract position (3 years).**

The City of Port Adelaide Enfield (PAE) is a welcoming, liveable City: made by people.

PAE acknowledges that we are on the traditional country of the Kaurna people of the Adelaide Plains. Their cultural heritage, beliefs and relationship with the land are of continuing importance today.

We are committed to fostering a culturally safe and inclusive workplace, where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voices and leadership are valued and supported.

Diversity at PAE means a workplace where individuals are recognised, respected, and engaged in ways that develop and harness everyone’s strengths. We provide excellent working conditions with job security, flexible working arrangements and support for professional development.

The Workforce and Economic Participation Lead supports the growth of employment, business, and training opportunities through the Aboriginal Cultural Centre, Yitpi Yartapuultiku.

The role focuses on strengthening Aboriginal economic participation, building local workforce capability, and supporting cultural enterprise and tourism initiatives. Working with community, business, education providers, and government partners, the role contributes to the Centre’s vision for cultural, social, and economic empowerment.

This is more than a job—it’s a chance to contribute your skills, culture, and lived experience in a meaningful way.

As the Workforce and Economic Participation Lead, you will:

- Develop and deliver workforce and business development initiatives linked to the Cultural Centre’s strategic goals.
- Build strong partnerships with Aboriginal businesses, entrepreneurs, training providers, and employers.
- Support programs that grow cultural tourism, creative industries, and Aboriginal enterprise opportunities.
- Advocate for Aboriginal workforce needs in collaboration with Council, community, and government stakeholders.
- Promote culturally appropriate employment and training pathways across priority sectors.
- Provide advice and support to integrate economic development activities into broader Cultural Centre programs.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

- Connection to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander cultures.
- Experience in workforce development, economic development, business support, or related fields preferably within Aboriginal or community-focused contexts.
- Proven ability to build effective partnerships with Aboriginal communities, businesses, training providers, and government agencies.
- A passion for Aboriginal cultures, economic participation priorities, and the role of cultural enterprises in community development.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to design, deliver, and evaluate programs that achieve workforce and economic outcomes.

This is a Level 6 position which has a current salary range of $67,437 - $72,119 per annum (0.6 FTE) plus Superannuation.

**Applications close on 8 June 2025.**

PAE values diversity and inclusion and we encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, women, people living with disability, young people, LGBTIQ+ people and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds to apply.

We are committed to providing an accessible and inclusive workplace. We welcome a discussion around any workplace adjustments you may require.
