This is a key leadership role that plays a pivotal part in shaping the direction of the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development of long-range strategic plans, delivering high-quality reporting and analysis, and providing authoritative guidance on economic trends.

The ideal candidate will have post-graduate qualifications in economics, strategy or a related field, with demonstrated experience in public sector strategy and performance reporting. They will also possess strong critical thinking and policy modelling capabilities, as well as a proven ability to lead and integrate cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality internal and external reporting and analysis">
  • Provide authoritative guidance on economic trends and feasibility of strategic directions">
  • Develop insights to inform strategic messaging and support communication of vision and outcomes">
  • Establish and continuously improve enterprise performance measurement and evaluation frameworks">
  • Provide strategic foresight through scenario modelling and risk-informed planning">
  • Steward the insight ecosystem by connecting data holders, surfacing strategic questions and reducing duplication">
  • Collaborate with internal teams and academic community to publish research and establish thought leadership in regulation and financial services">
  • Represent the organization in external forums and participate in relevant communities of practice">
  • Build strategic capability across the organisation by modelling analytical rigour, collaboration and clear direction">
