As a Principal Project Officer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development and implementation of workforce policies, projects, and initiatives that drive economic growth and address industry workforce challenges.

The Workforce, Population and Migration Group is responsible for building South Australia's labour force through population and migration strategy and initiatives. We support industry to attract and retain the workforce it requires.

In this role, you will contribute to the development and implementation of workforce plans and strategies to achieve workforce objectives and State government priorities.

  • Understanding of industry workforce challenges and opportunities in South Australia's critical industries, regions, and the broader economy.
  • Proven experience in planning, developing and implementing projects and programs, ideally in relation to workforce and skills development.
  • Experience in engaging with industry and government stakeholders to identify, prioritise and develop collaborative workforce solutions.
  • Ability to use initiative to work successfully under broad directions, manage changing and competing priorities, critical deadlines.
  • Ability to think strategically, conceptually and creatively to analyse and resolve complex problems.
