Our client is a European Luxury Confectionary brand now hiring a Retail Manager to drive omni-channel operations in Australia. Renowned for their artistic approach to luxury confectionary this brand has a rich history of craftmanship that has developed their reputation for excellence.

The Role |

This role will lead operations in Australia - managing a small team to drive growth across retail and wholesale. Based in Sydney - you will have key accountabilities across:

- Sales performance and budget with full P&L responsibility of the channel.
- Develop and implement retail strategies, define objectives and action plans to achieve sales targets.
- Analyse consumer and competitor trends and channels to identify and maximize market opportunities. Provide market insights and recommendations to management to elevate business performance in the region.
- Explore new business opportunities and develop business cases for expansion plans to strengthen retail proximity.
- Collaborate with the finance department to develop and manage the operational budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost control measures are in place to meet financial targets.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance the overall customer experience, including visual merchandising, store layout, customer service standards, loyalty programs and compliance to ensure company's standards and KPIs are achieved.
- Monitor retail performance and launch focused action plans with clearly articulated objectives to improve results.
- Lead and coach retail team. Supervise a team of store managers and develop the team by providing guidance & support through timely feedback. Foster a positive and inclusive work culture and environment.
- Work with Training Manager to define training needs and develop talents with necessary skills so to drive excellence in customer service & sales performance.

The Skillset |

You will bring evident and in-depth experience within sales and management from either hospitality or retail industries. You are commercially minded and have a passion for achieving objectives through all retail operation processes and have excellent staff management and client relationship skills. A results-oriented professional with a strategic mindset who has problem-solving skills in a fast moving and high-end retail business.
- Degree in Business Studies, Finance or related discipline.
- Minimum 7 years’ relevant experience in retail industry, preferably from high end food and beverage retail / fashion or beauty.
- Strong financial acumen, track record in managing retail stores.
- Strong leadership skills with exceptional presentation and communication skills.
- Strong analytical, business acumen and interpersonal skills.
- Languages - Mandarin considered an advantage.
- Ability to travel locally and internationally.
