**What you will do**:
As a Corporate Affairs Lead, you will be responsible for developing programs and campaigns for various forms of internal or external stakeholders and act as an expert support to the business. You will leverage successful relationships with government bodies and other representative agencies, to ensure the ongoing success of AstraZeneca in the Australia & New Zealand market.

Reporting to the Director of Government Affairs, you will
- Contribute and lead to engagements with key internal or external groups, such as patient associations, industry associations, government officials and regulators
- Lead healthcare policy development to support cross therapeutic areas in support of greater access and reform in addition to advising on advocacy strategies to support reform
- Research either individually or as part of a team, into more complex areas of government legislation, regulation, managed markets or public policy
- Contribute to multiple Corporate Affairs and communications projects to help AstraZeneca communicate important corporate messages to internal and external stakeholders
- Liaise with brand managers and other internal colleagues to explain how internal or external developments can affect their brands or areas of responsibility
- Help brand leaders develop communications programs and strategies tied to their respective brand strategies
- Build and participate in internal and external networks to share information in the legislative, regulatory or public policy arena and disseminate best practices internally
- Have opportunity to engage with lobbyists or government or regulatory officials, and oversee the regulatory submissions for particular product categories or brands
- Act as a resource in one or more areas of Corporate Governance, helping managers and other colleagues resolve more complex Corporate Affairs and communication related issues

**Essential for the role**:

- Demonstrated experience in a similar role &/or significant experience working with government and other key influencers
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, government affairs, international relations, or a related field
- Understanding of new media, especially social networks
- Expertise in one or more area(s) of internal or external corporate communications
- Experience working in the commercial sector, and an understanding of working in a multinational environment
- A well-developed networked within government or capacity to build one
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and proven creative & critical thinking aptitude
- Ability to work cross-functionality including balancing needs from multiple stakeholders
