The roleReporting to the Manager of Monitoring, Evaluation and Compliance, you will deliver strategic health, safety and wellbeing frameworks, assurance programs and initiatives across the Queensland Health. You will provide expert advice and services to stakeholders to assist with the management and planning of health, safety and wellbeing. Monitoring the performance across Queensland Health, you will ensure legislative and policy compliance. Key to this position, is the opportunity to identify and develop key initiatives and projects to address healthcare risks across the health system.
Joining a collaborative team of high performing fellow safety professionals within the Health and Safety Unit, your addition to the team will add to the knowledgebase in the provision of expert advice for worker wellbeing and promotion of healthy work environments across Queensland Health.
You will be able to speak to your conceptual, analytical and problem-solving ability and your capability to work within a project management framework to achieve identified outcomes and time lines against agreed performance standards. Furthermore, you will have a proven track record in building and maintaining effective professional and consultative relationships to manage people, situations and external relationships flexibly and responsively.

Corporate Services Division provides business, corporate and operational services to the Department of Health and, in certain circumstances, to the broader Queensland public health system (Queensland Health, comprising the department and 16 hospital and health services).
The division is responsible for leading the department's budget, financial reporting processes, human resource services, knowledge management, legal services, business enhancement and facilities management activities. More broadly, the division is also responsible for leading system-wide industrial relations activities, major capital infrastructure delivery projects, certain human resources functions undertaken on a system-wide basis, and other corporate services functions.
