The overall role of the FaPMI Coordinator is to coordinate service development across the Mental Health and Wellbeing Service (MH&WS) and across the LGA’s of Brimbank, Melton and the township of Sunbury to build capacity of services to respond effectively to families where a parent has a mental illness.
The successful incumbent will do this through workforce training and resource development, policy and procedure development, partnerships between sectors and services, group program development, implementation and evaluation, and community education.
We expect all our team members to lead with kindness, role modelling open communication and a desire to support and enhance clinical care across the team.
This role is available on a full-time basis to a qualified RPN5, OT4 or SW4.
**To Be Successful in the Role, you will have**:
- The ability to increase the capacity of the adult MH&WS to provide a family inclusive response to the parenting needs of consumers and the needs of their children.
- The ability to increase the capacity of the adult MH&WS network partners (such as family violence services, drug and alcohol services, services to aboriginal communities, housing services, child protection, youth and family services, maternity, infant and early childhood services, primary care and education) to recognise and respond appropriately to parental mental illness.
- Capacity to develop, maintain and strengthen service networks in partnership with consumers and carers to provide a coordinated and collaborative response to the needs of families where a parent has a mental illness.
