Our Company is an established safety consultancy company providing safety services nationwide. Currently working with our clients on major projects nationally, we are seeking an experienced Safety Officer with relevant industry experience to join our Safety team for start immediately, on a 6 month contract initially, with possibility of extension. Initial position location is based on construction projects located in Melbourne.
- Key responsibilities include:_
- review contractor safety documentation including Safety Management Plans & SWMS
- undertake site inspections, report findings and close out actions
- perform site inductions, and ensure accurate record keeping
- conduct accident investigations
- prepare, review and update safety statistics
- liaise with third parties to facilitate permits to work and access work areas
- The successful applicant will have:_
- tertiary qualifications in WHS or related (Cert IV in WHS a minimum)
- thorough understanding of safety legislation, standards and Codes of Practice
- an approachable and practical communication style
- a minimum of three years in a similar role in the Construction environment
- proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel

Expected Start Date: Immediate Start

Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
