We need a creative Diploma or Certificate qualified Educator to be able to come in and work with our before and after school care, and vacation care children. You would be tasked with having to work alongside and support the teaching staff of the Centre, to always adhere to the Education and care services National Regulations under the Education and Care Services National Law, child protection regulations, as well as the policies, goals and philosophy of the service.

We expect you to act as a positive role model to the children in your care by demonstrating appropriate behaviour and language. To respect and provide support and inclusion for all children, regardless of gender cultural background or socio-economic status. Assist in the collection, recording and evaluation of childrens records and observations. Communicate with the children in an open, honest manner and ensure that the childs perspective is regarded as unique and special.

It is also expected that you be courteous and helpful to the families in the Centre and respect the confidentiality of all information about a child.

We believe our role is to work in partnership with our families and community to provide an environment where kids can be kids and learn through play, exploring the environment around them.

Our programme promotes play as the emphasis through a process of exploring, problem solving, social interaction, role play, communicating and most importantly listening to children which enables them to enhance skills in areas such as their language, self-help, cognitive, social and fine/ gross motor skills.

Other requirements for this position are:
- that you are available to be rostered Monday to Friday each week
- be punctual and reliable at all times
- have an open C Class license and be able to drive a minibus
- Care for and interact with the children in our After School and Vacation Care Program
- Lead and be part of reflective practices to deliver the My Time Our Place curriculum. Reflective discussions and considerations for practice will focus upon interactions, routines, intentional teaching and learning.
- Talk to parents about the educational program
- Consider how the program can be linked to the community
- Drive bus to and from schools to pick up children or take them on excursions during holidays.
