About you
As the General Manager of the Joint Colleges Training Services (“JCTS”), you’ll be a dedicated and dynamic leader with a wealth of knowledge and passion for improving Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health outcomes. You possess exceptional communication skills and a deep cultural awareness, enabling you to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders. Your organisational abilities and attention to detail ensure programs are delivered with excellence, while your proactive and adaptable nature helps you thrive in a dynamic work environment. You’ll also have:

About the opportunity
Reporting to the JCTS Board, you’ll collaborate with key stakeholders to develop, implement, and continuously review Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Training Strategic Plans. Your focus will be on identifying collaboration opportunities with College training teams and establishing consultation networks to promote and expand JCTS services within the community. Some of your primary responsibilities will encompass:
leading a national team of Cultural Mentors, Cultural Educators, and Program Support staff in delivering Strategic Plan initiatives.
promoting regionally and locally specific delivery of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Training initiatives within a nationally consistent framework.
engaging with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stakeholder organizations involved in GP training to support Strategic Plan activities.
representing JCTS at stakeholder forums and Department meetings, including the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander General Practice Advisory Committee.
About the JCTS
Joint Colleges Training Services Pty Ltd (JCTS) is a joint venture of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) and the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (the RACGP). JCTS will enable RACGP and ACRRM to deliver shared GP training activities for the Colleges’ respective fellowship training programs and includes the development and delivery of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health strategic plans, cultural education and cultural mentorship, provide support and guidance to Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services regarding the GP Training program and other potential areas of collaboration.
