The Department
The Department of Regional Development, Manufacturing and Water (DRDMW) drives growth for Queensland by managing sustainable water resources, leading innovation in manufacturing, and developing our regions. From our offices in Brisbane and a network of regional offices and manufacturing hubs, more than 700 DRDMW staff work to create a Queensland where communities, businesses and water resources are sustainable and resilient.
The Role
As Manager, Regional Collaboration, you will support the Director, Regional Collaboration in the implementation and successful ongoing delivery of the RegionalCollaborative Governance Model. The Model is a formalised approach to enhancing regional collaboration across government. The Model provides a new way of working together and focuses on three goals: 1. understanding regional challenges2. promoting collaboration between agencies, and3. building regional leadership.You will work in partnership with representatives from across Queensland agencies and different levels of governance to ensure identified regional priorities are planned and governed effectively to provide effective place based solutions across Queensland's regional communities. A high level of professionalism and the ability to work collaboratively, develop effective relationships and partnerships are important attributes to support the Government's focus on regional Queensland
**Key Accountabilities**:
- Support the Director, Regional Collaboration to lead a geographically dispersed team by providing operational human resource and team management supportactivities of Regional Leadership NetworksProvide leadership, guidance and advice on best practice stakeholder engagement, facilitation and partnership building approaches to support delivery ofAnnual Workplans
- Provide leadership, guidance and advice to ensure delivery of well-considered, high quality reports
- Prepare high quality project plans, informed by research and analysis
- Provide strategic advice to the Director and broader management team on key issues and opportunities relating to regional priorities and opportunities to improve outcomes and add value for communities
- Collaborate and engage with key internal and external stakeholders to support development of systems and processes to enable implementation of the Regional Collaborative Governance Model
- Support regular reporting against key performance indicators
- Maintain knowledge and encourage continued learnings throughout the Regional Collaborative Governance Model across agencies and levels of governance.
About You
- You will have demonstrated experience, or expertise in the following which will be highly desirable: - stakeholder engagement and partnership building
- forming strong, productive and trusted relationships with diverse stakeholders
- project management
- working within complex collaborative environments
- Travel may be required. This may involve travel outside of normal office hours and/or overnight accommodation.
