**Job Description**:
**What you’ll do**:
The Analytics and Insights team connects our stakeholders from across the business with the information they need to make data-informed decisions. You will join an established team of data specialists, helping colleagues work through complex tasks and helping our clients and internal stakeholders meet their analytics needs.

We’re looking for an experienced analytics professional who is ready to take the next step in their career, working with senior stakeholders at Carsales, and leading a small team of data specialists who help to meet their data and analytics needs. You will have the opportunity to gain experience leading a team of analysts while still having time to be hands-on with your own technical work.
- Lead a small team of data specialists, supporting our cross functional stakeholders in understanding the problems that they're facing and how we can help to solve them through the smart use of data and insights.
- Share expertise in designing and conducting analysis, writing SQL queries to extract data from multiple and various data sources.
- Work with stakeholders to understand and interpret the analytics results and provide actionable business insights.
- Transform our into robust data models that will power our self-service analytics platform, getting data into the hands of decision makers when they need it.
- Develop effective data visualizations to help stakeholders understand the data, its value and impact.
- Demonstrate understanding and motivations to collaborate with the wider data team.

**Qualifications**:
**What are we looking for?**
- Demonstrated inclusive and interpersonal attributes that connect you to our behaviours (we change the game, we own it, we step in, we are curious, we don’t take ourselves too seriously).
- An analytical and inquisitive mindset, pro-active approach, and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Expertise in using SQL to transform data and generate insights and building data transformation pipelines using Python or DBT.
- Experience managing or mentoring data analysts, helping them to develop their data skills and progress their careers.
- Strong business acumen and communication skills to present findings in an easy-to-understand way to inform data-driven decisions.
- Experience working with BI tools like ThoughtSpot, Tableau or PowerBI and digital analytics platforms like Google Analytics.
- Experience with A/B testing would be beneficial.
